Arrangements have been made to have free/reduced cost meals made available to eligible students during the temporary closure of the Carle Place School District.  Multiple day “Grab and Go” meals will be distributed  according to the following schedule:  

Wednesday March 18th – 3 days of meals for Wednesday March 18th , Thursday March 19th  and Friday March 20th

Monday March 23rd – 2 days of meals for Monday March 23rd and Tuesday March 24th

Wednesday March 25th – 3 days of meals for Wednesday March 25th , Thursday March 26th  and Friday March 27th

NEW! Monday March 30th – 2days of meals for Monday March 30th and Tuesday March  31st

Meals will be distributed at the cafeteria door accessed from the parking lot behind Carle Place High School from 11:00-12:00 on 3/18, 3/23 and 3/25

Cause for Paws

Paws for a cause thumbnail164708
Rushmore Avenue School held its first Cause for Paws donation drive to support the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter and its affiliate, The Shelter Connection. The Rushmore family of students and staff donated over 20 boxes of items including food, toys, treats, towels, blankets and more. Staff also donated money to Medipaw, which helps shelter animals that need surgeries or other medical attention. Thank you to all those who donated.
